Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Taipei (B, D)
Say hello to Taipei! Students and teachers will be welcomed warmly by our tour guide at Taoyuan airport. We will serve students refreshing breakfast before transferring to the Taipei city center. After that, we pay a visit to the oldest district of Dadaocheng and Taipei, where our guides will explain the history of Dihua Street as students and teachers walk through the area.
At the end of the day, we will transfer students to the hotel to have dinner and stay overnight here.
Day 2: Volcanoes & Hot Springs (B, L, D)
The second day of students trip, we will head out early to visit a volcano Yangmingshan National Park. After that, we hike through the Qingtiangang grasslands with a stop at Lengshuikeng Hot Springs, which was formed by volcanic lava flowing down from the mountain, forming a barrier lake.
Next, we will transfer students to the hotel to enjoy lunch and have a short break. Then, we spend the rest of the day at the National Palace Museum, home to the world's largest and arguably finest collection of Chinese art, this vast collection covers treasures in painting, calligraphy, bronzes, lacquerware, ceramics, jade, and religious objects.
In the evening, we take students to the hotel, serve them a delicious dinner and stay overnight here.
Day 3: Mines & Hoodoos (B, D)
Today, we will wake up early and have breakfast before visiting Yeliu Geopark, which is located along a cape stretching out from the town of Wanli. It is a great chance for students to learn about various unique geological formations formed 10 to 15 million years ago.
As the sun begins to set, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 4: Mountains, Plains & Ocean Hike (B, D)
After having breakfast we will transfer students to the plains of Yilan in the east and then set out on a full-day hike on the Caoling historical trial. Then, students will have ample opportunity to witness a beautiful tropical forest to the dramatic grasslands and cliffs of Dali. More interestingly, we will take students to visit the natural outdoor hot spring baths of Renzhizhe to chill out and unwind.
At the end of the day, students will be served a delicious dinner at the hotel and stay overnight here.
Day 5: Aboriginal Trails (B, L, D)
In the early morning, students will enjoy refreshing breakfast to get ready for a visit to Aboriginal trails. Students can get authentic experiences in the Taroko Marble gorges, which is one of the tallest canyons in the world. Then, we stop for a break at Qingshui, the color of the cliffs, together with those of the Pacific Ocean and blue sky certainly impress anyone to visit here. Most importantly, students will have a chance to learn about tribesman's culture and history when visiting the Taroko tribe village museum.
In lunchtime, students will enjoy local cuisine with local people and interact with them. It is definitely a great time for students in aboriginal trails.
We complete our day with a delicious dinner and overnight accommodation at the hotel.
Day 6: Dolphins in the Pacific (L, D)
Today, we will start off our day with a visit to Hualien and then take a boat out to spot the dolphins. After that, we will continue South alongside the Pacific Ocean, making a stop at the stunning Xinshe paddy fields.
Students will be served a delicious lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: Kenting Exploration (B, L, D)
In the early part of the morning, after having breakfast, we will kick off our day with a visit to the aboriginal Ami Folk Center. Students can learn how to weave a bamboo basket in the traditional way.
Afterward, they will enjoy a delicious lunch before spending the rest day on the pristine white sand beaches of Kenting national park.
At the end of the day, we will be served local cuisine at the hotel. It is time for them to relax after a long day of exploring.
Day 8: White beaches and green forests ( L, D)
Wake up early in the morning, we start a new day by kayaking in a local lagoon which offers ample opportunity for students to get a closer insight into local people lifestyle and culture here.
In lunchtime, students will be served a local cuisine by local people before taking the rest day for field studies collecting data and analyzing the biodiversity in the caves, forests, and beaches of the national park.
In the evening, students have free time to relax and enjoy scrumptious dinner at the hotel.
Day 9: Religion, Tradition, & Crafts (B, D)
Today, we will take students to western Taiwan to pay a visit to the Taiwu aboriginal village school and meets students. This school teaches students ancestral tribe songs. We will enjoy beautiful songs which were prepared by children and sung in their local dialect, in traditional costume, full of poetry and very romantic.
Afterward, we head to Meinong, a Hakka village, where students will know how to create traditionally crafted umbrellas in beautiful courtyard home of craftsmen.
At the end of the day, students will be transferred to the hotel and have dinner here.
Day 10: Tainan - Taiwan’s Oldest City (B, L)
In the early morning, students will be served refreshing breakfast before transferring to the old capital of Tainan to explore the historic roots of Taiwan. Then, we will visit forts built during Dutch occupation and the temple of Koxinga. More interestingly, the small museum provides great insights into the history and a tower built later gives students great views over the city.
After having lunch, we will visit the famous tree house – a series of deserted Dutch-style housing that has been colonized by a giant Banyan tree.
Day 11: Departure (B)
In the last day of this trip, students and teachers can enjoy the flexibility to spend more time in places that interest them most. Complete the tour with a delicious breakfast and then catch the flight home. Student tour ends. We encourage students to apply what they have learned from their experiences back at home and school.
