Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo
Arrive at Narita or Haneda Airport and meet your tour guide. Transfer to your accommodation in Tokyo. Settle into the hotel and freshen up after your journey.

Day 2: Japanese Lesson - Taiko-Drum Experience - Dinner on a Japanese house-boat
Today, students will enjoy a welcome breakfast before engaging in an interactive language class designed for beginners. Focus on basic conversational skills, greetings, and essential phrases to help navigate daily life in Japan.
After lunch, participate in a hands-on Taiko drumming workshop. Learn about the history and significance of this traditional Japanese art form while enjoying a fun and energetic group activity. Delight in a unique dining experience aboard a traditional Japanese houseboat. Savor a variety of local delicacies while cruising along Tokyo's rivers.
Day 3: Japanese Lesson - Sumo Show
After having breakfast, continue your language studies with another engaging lesson, building on vocabulary and conversational skills learned previously. Have lunch before visiting a sumo wrestling venue to watch a live Sumo show. Learn about the history, rules, and cultural importance of this ancient sport through commentary and demonstrations. Experience the quirky culture of Akihabara with dinner at a Maid Café.
Day 4: Tuna Auction at Fish Market - Hokusai Museum
After an early breakfast, visit the famous Tsukiji Fish Market (or Toyosu Market) to witness the bustling tuna auction and learn about Japan’s seafood industry. Lunch before exploring the Hokusai Museum, which is dedicated to the famous ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai. Discover the impact of his work on Japanese culture and art. Enjoy a themed dining experience at a Ninja restaurant, where staff dressed as ninjas serve dishes in a captivating atmosphere filled with performances and surprises.
Day 5: Transfer to Kyoto - Center for IPS Cells Research & Application - Dinner with Maiko Song & Dance
After breakfast, depart Tokyo and travel to Kyoto by bullet train. Enjoy the scenic views of the Japanese countryside along the way. Enjoy lunch before visiting the Kyoto University Center for IPS Cells Research and Application. Gain insights into cutting-edge research in regenerative medicine and the role of stem cells in modern science. Experience a traditional dinner accompanied by a Maiko performance, showcasing elegant dance and music, while learning about the role of Maiko in Japanese culture.
Day 6: Yasaka Shrine - Aoi Festival - Tranfer to Tokyo
Enjoy a fresh breakfast before visiting Yasaka Shrine, a key spiritual site in Kyoto. Explore its stunning architecture, vibrant atmosphere, and the historical significance of the shrine in Japanese culture. After having lunch with Japanese food, we participate in the Aoi Festival if it coincides with your visit (held annually on May 15). Observe the procession and traditional rituals, learning about its historical and cultural significance. Return to Tokyo via bullet train and check into your accommodation.
Day 7: Japanese Lesson - Indigo Dyeing Workshop - Onigiri Cooking Lesson
After breakfast, further enhance your language skills with a focused lesson, incorporating vocabulary related to the upcoming workshops. Join a workshop on indigo dyeing after lunch, where you'll learn traditional techniques to create your own textile art piece to take home. Participate in an interactive cooking class where you will learn to make Onigiri (Japanese rice balls). Enjoy your creations for dinner while sharing your experiences from the trip.
Day 8: Departure from Tokyo
Enjoy a light breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
